Our History
Chartered in 1953 as a credit union for post office employees, CACL was named for the Carriers and Clerks that worked there. In those early years, CACL humbly operated out of a cigar box in the Pottsville Post Office.
The much-anticipated grand opening of our main Pottsville branch, perfectly situated right here at 1800 West Market Street in the vibrant heart of this community. Stepping into this dedicated, professional building for the first time was the very beginning of a new era full of boundless opportunities.
Embracing risk-based lending was made to extend essential financial support and opportunities to individuals in the Schuylkill County community. This shift in lending strategy enabled a wider range of residents, who might otherwise be excluded, to qualify for the funds they desperately needed.
The debut of our dedicated loan department wasn't just an addition; it was a bold step forward, specifically designed to provide spacious comfort for our valued members. This space allows for meaningful interactions, where enhanced privacy ensures our member's financial discussions are confidential and secure.
The ribbon-cutting for our second location, the St Clair branch, was not just a proud milestone, but a moment filled with excitement for our entire team. This pivotal expansion wasn't merely about adding square footage; it represented a leap forward, to serve our valued members with convenience and ease.
An exciting milestone for CACL Financial to make a powerful investment in a Call Center. The opening of this Call Center was meticulously created to elevate our member's experience, and provide seamless support when they need it. Now, interacting with CACL Financial is easier than ever before.
The opening of our third branch location in Schuylkill Haven was a strategic addition to provide broader physical access to our financial products and services. This expansion shows our commitment to bringing convenience and support closer to our valued members and building strong relationships.
